Soft Identity Makers is a project by Muuaaa studio that aims at creating a malleable national identity. The studio belives that nowadays, with migration and globalisation, national identity should not be a fixed thing, it should change with the person and with their experiences. They designed an algorithm national identity that will generate for the user a new set of identifiers like flags, passports etc. I do really love the concept and I find it really powerful and fitting with my research. I think that the way they executed it is interesting, though, when I look at it I don't feel like a lot of deep research was done. Because their audience is very large, they had to do a great amount of research that I feel doesn't show too well in the design. It is very important that I try to avoid making the same mistake.
